Akira Banno, our CSO, participated in the "&EARTH Classroom: Creating the Future" hosted by Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co.
2024.01.23

Mr. Banno gave a lecture on social issues related to waste and what can be done to reduce waste under the theme of resource recycling.
Mr. Tomoaki Makino, former Japanese national soccer team player, also took the stage and introduced his own efforts to avoid wasting resources.
Starting in May 2023, Mitsui Fudosan Residential and Mitsui Fudosan Residential will establish collection stations at approximately 4,000 condominium units in the Toyosu area (properties that have been sold or leased by Mitsui Fudosan Residential and properties that Mitsui Fudosan Residential Group companies are entrusted with managing) to deliver clothing and other items no longer needed by residents to the next user. The "Kurashi-no-Sasukatsu Circular Action" is a service to collect unwanted items from tenants at a permanent collection station for delivery to the next user.
At the venue, "PASSTO," a service that collects, sorts, and re-distributes unwanted items, similar to the boxes used in "Kurashi-no-Sasukatsu Circular Action," will be set up to allow participants to past their unwanted clothing and miscellaneous goods. In the second half, Zero Waste Japan's "Zero Garbage Game" was held for parents and children to enjoy together. The day was a great success, with participants enjoying learning about resource recycling through lectures and games.
