The two companies will combine their networks and know-how in reuse and recycling to expand services. Targeting apparel-related businesses and municipalities nationwide, the company aims to reduce fashion loss by 6,000 tons per year.
(headquartered in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture; Teruyuki Kawano, CEO; hereinafter "ecommit"), an environmental venture that creates a system for the recycling of goods, has concluded a business alliance agreement with ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, COO and Representative Director; hereinafter "ITOCHU"). (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President and COO; hereinafter "ITOCHU") to develop a service (hereinafter "the Service") to accelerate domestic recycling by reducing discarded textiles and clothing to the greatest extent possible through a combination of maximizing reuse and recycling. The Service will be offered to businesses and municipalities nationwide, starting in the spring of 2022.
